Adam Johnson: Police re-bail man over ice hockey player’s death

Panthers fans expressed their grief over the player’s death following the abandoned match at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.

They joined his teammates to leave flowers outside Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, where the Panthers play their home games.

A commemorative plaque in Johnson’s honour, which reads “Forever our 47”, was placed on a wall outside the arena in February.

At the time, Omar Pacha, chief executive of the Nottingham Panthers, said: “He will forever be in our thoughts and this plaque will be a lasting memory of him.

“Not only was Adam an outstanding talent on the ice, he was just a great human being and made people better around him.”
