T20 encounter between Ireland and Scotland washed out

Ireland’s T20 game against Scotland on Monday was abandoned because of steady rain in Voorburg.

The decision to call off the match was made without a ball being bowled.

Ireland, Scotland and hosts Netherlands are are taking part in warm-up series ahead of the men’s T20 World Cup next month.

The Irish beat Netherlands on Sunday and will face them again on Friday, a day after taking on the Scots.

Scotland lost out to the Dutch in Saturday’s opener and they meet the same opponents on Wednesday before finishing against Ireland.
