‘SNL’ Announces Maya Rudolph And Jake Gyllenhaal Will Close Out Season 49

Another incredible season of SNL is coming to a close and popular show has announced Maya Rudolph and Jake Gyllenhaal as their 49th season finale hosts.

Last year’s writers strike affected both the end of last season and the beginning of this season which saw the start of season 49 of Saturday Night Live not kick off until October, with former cast member Pete Davidson hosting. This was a change from the late September or early October premiere the show usually has. The show’s cast returned intact from last season, with James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman moving up from featured players to repertory players. Chloe Troast joined the cast as a featured player.

The next three shows are as follows.

May 4: Dua Lipa (host and musical guest)
May 11: Maya Rudolph, Vampire Weekend
May 18: Jake Gyllenhaal, Sabrina Carpenter
