Cash For Home has the answer because they dug around and it turns out that New York is 46th on the list of states where it takes the longest to sell houses. Ouch!

There are four states that are higher and Oregon takes the crown for being #1 when it comes to selling your house. Almost half (45.77%) of the properties were on the market for over 30 days. Ohio comes in at a close second, with 41.50% of homes hanging out unsold for over a month, followed by Massachusetts at 39.44%.

On the flip side, Mississippi is the place where properties find new owners the quickest. The study found that it’s the easiest state to sell a house in.

The U.S. housing market is improving, with a surge in searches for “sell my house” by almost 70% in the past month. Many homeowners are looking to find new buyers, but it can be a challenge in certain states.

In New York, 23% of homes stay on the market for over 30 days. While this isn’t the longest time compared to some states, it’s still a big number, considering there are over 76,000 homes on the market. More than 17,000 of them have been listed for over 30 days.

So, if you’re thinking about selling your house in the Empire State, you might not want to wait too long to put it on the market. Give yourself time to find the perfect buyer for you.
