Prince William Oversees Ceremony Knighting Disney CEO Bob Iger

Prince William has presented Bob Iger with the post-nominal title of Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Disney is getting even more royal, who says Bob can’t be a new Princess?

In addition to Disney’s CEO, Oscar-winning film composer John Williams was also among the honorees. The honors for Bob Iger and John Williams were announced in 2022, while the late Queen Elizabeth II was still alive. When Bob Iger found out he was receiving the honor, he took to social media to share some words.

“It is one of the great honors of my life to have the honorary Knight of the British Empire conferred on me by Queen Elizabeth II before she passed. I have great affection for the people of the UK & have always appreciated and been inspired by their extraordinary contributions,” Iger posted on X, the social whining site formerly known as Twitter. Bob Iger also congratulated Williams on his honor, adding in a separate X post, “And special congratulations to John Williams. It is an honor for me to join him as an Honorary Knight! I have always been in awe of his work. May the force be with him!”
