Less than a month to go! • Live Sail Die

Message from the Chair:

I can hardly believe that in just one month, the start will be behind us, and I will be in Bermuda, ready to hand off Dark ‘N Stormys to sailors after their completion of the 636-mile journey. With so much exciting news to share, I’ll jump right into our big announcements.

Last month, we closed registration with 171 boats. Despite a few dropouts, we expect to see well over 160 boats on the starting line next month. We invite you to get to know the competitors via their profiles on the Entry List. If you are not sailing, plan to be at Fort Adams or watch the start online.

As many of you know, there is ongoing construction of wind farms along the rhumb line to Bermuda. We have been in communication with the construction teams from Ørsted for months to ensure that our participants can safely navigate around these new structures and their construction ships. Ørsted’s responsiveness and willingness to work with us have been exceptional. They are providing resources such as updated chart files and simulator invitations for our navigators during the week of the race to aid in preparation. Thanks to this collaborative partnership, they have also agreed to help power the Starting Line Live Show!

Additionally, Cole Brauer will be joining us on June 21st to celebrate offshore racing. She will be at Fort Adams to meet and greet spectators and special guests before taking to the water to be part of the live show. Details on that are below.

Thank you all for your dedication and enthusiasm. We look forward to seeing you at the start and celebrating with you at the finish.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
