First Steps’ Set Photo Reveals First Official Look At Pedro Pascal & Vanessa Kirby

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is taking off! A set photo gives fans their first look at Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby as Reed Richards and Sue Storm.

Every new set photo from The Fantastic Four: First Steps shows off something new about Marvel’s First Family. Joseph Quinn rocked a classic-inspired suit as the Human Torch, and the internet exploded at their first look at The Thing. And now the family is complete with the official reveal of Sue Storm and Reed Richards, played respectively by Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal.

This set photo came from a visit by comic creators to the production of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby aren’t suited up as their characters, their outfits are clearly from scenes where they filmed as Reed Richards and Sue Storm. It’s likely these creators were able to see some scenes of the two interacting in a laboratory setting, potentially even inside of the Baxter Building if the background details are to be taken as gospel.

What This Set Photo Unveils About The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby stunting as Reed Richards and Sue Storm weren’t the only interesting parts of the set photo. In the background of the picture, a pair of space suits can be seen. This is more likely than not fans’ first look at the suits the team will be wearing in The Fantastic Four: First Steps when they get their powers, potentially debunking the theory that they get them during a trip in the Fantasticar.

If this set photo was taken inside the Baxter Building, it’s likely that won’t be the only Easter Egg found when The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters. It’s possible that Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards and Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm will be reminiscing on past adventures during the scene that comic creators were invited to watch. Then again, it’s always possible that those space suits are a harbinger of what’s to come, not of what has already been.
