Bermuda volleyball teams to compete in Nicaragua – The Royal Gazette

Two Bermuda teams have arrived in Nicaragua to compete on the North American, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation Beach Tour.

The men’s team of Braedon Madeiros-Cooke and Connor Somerville and the women’s side comprising Megan Hands and Kayley Hamilton will compete in Managua from Friday until Sunday.

The Norceca  Beach Tour is the signature beach volleyball tour for the North American, Central American and Caribbean zone and Brandon Sousa, the Bermuda Volleyball Association co-president, expressed his confidence in the teams to deliver some good performances.

“We are incredibly excited to be a part of the 2024 Beach Volleyball Tour and specifically to be participating in this fifth stop in Nicaragua.

“I know our teams have shown their commitment in training and throughout their preparations.

“They are prepared to demonstrate their skill, competitive spirit, and determination to earn valuable tour points for themselves and Bermuda.

“The Bermuda Volleyball Association is deeply committed to developing beach volleyball in Bermuda.

“We are thrilled to continue building on the strong foundation we have established and are looking forward to significant progress and more international exposure this year.

“I wish our teams the best of luck and eagerly anticipate watching their performances.”
