This excitement has led to a ton of amazing fan art from across the net. One artist in particular has caught the eyes of many who follow DC Universe news. The first piece focuses on Kyle Chandler wearing Hal Jordan’s signature bomber jacket, with a comic-accurate take of the actor in his Green Lantern suit in the background of the image.
Aaron Pierre Suits Up As John Stewart
Yet, Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan wasn’t the only Green Lantern 21XFour created concept art for. The artist also created a piece for Aaron Pierre’s John Stewart. His suit in the piece shows a clear evolution from Chandler’s as Hal, with a glowing symbol and much more black on the torso. This highlights a concept for how the DC Universe could differentiate their costumes in Lanterns, while still keeping both accurate to their comic book counterparts.
Aaron Pierre and Kyle Chandler will be making their DC Universe debuts as John Stewart and Hal Jordan in the HBO series Lanterns. The series is different than any Green Lantern project seen before it, focusing on an Earth-bound mystery in a similar vein to True Detective. Casting for the project is underway, though it’s unclear when the show will begin production.
