Former Shark Tank Mexico Contestant To Speak On Overconsumption, Waste At Sustainability Conference In Brazil
Jorge Lopez, Founder & President of Millas para el Retiro will lead talks on finding sustainable solutions to waste reduction, impulse purchasing at the Horasis Global Meeting in Brazil Vitória, this weekend October 25-27.
Lopez, who famously appeared on Shark Tank Mexico offering a 20% stake in Millas para el Retiro for only 5 Pesos, will share a panel with leading minds in the sustainability and finance space, aiming to readdress attitudes towards consumer capitalism and to find a better bio-balance as individuals.
Millas para el Retiro is a digital platform that allows users to save through spending. Founded in 2017, the fintech encourages people to save voluntarily through gamification and zero commissions. This, along with a modest investment of only $0.25 USD, was something that enticed renowned entrepreneurs Patricia Armendariz, Rodrigo Herrera and Marcus Dantus to join on as business partners back in the 2020 series of Shark Tank Mexico.
As well as Jorge, Executive Board Member for The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) Simon Levy, and Rob Roggema, Professor of Regenerative Culture, Tecnologico de Monterrey, will also present as part of the Mexican delegation at the annual conference.
Joining the Mexican leaders at Horasis Global Meeting will be politicians, CEOs and representatives from some of the world’s most respected organizations.
Throughout the two-day conference, over 400 influential world leaders to Vitória, Brazil to tackle pressing issues such as climate change, gender equality, technology, and economic growth.

leading forum for discussion and knowledge sharing between developed and emerging markets.
