Mr. McMahon Trailer

“Everything he did turned to gold.” Netflix has unveiled the main trailer for a controversial documentary series titled Mr. McMahon, a look at the infamous WWE co-founder and top businessman. This new series is launching streaming on Netflix starting at the end of September, right before Netflix’s wrestling WWE Raw live events launch in 2025. What an intriguing coincidence. Filmmaker Chris Smith (of Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond, Fyre, Tiger King) and executive producer Bill Simmons present this doc: an unflinching, no-holds-barred look at one of the most enigmatic figures in sports entertainment. The six-part doc series presents a comprehensive look at the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, controversial businessman and co-founder of WWE (formerly called the WWF when it started). From his transformation of the WWE from a small, regional business into today’s global entertainment powerhouse to the explosive sexual misconduct allegations that led to his eventual resignation, this six-episode series offers a deep dive into McMahon’s life and his enduring franchise. This is an important series for pro wrestling fans, even if they love what he had a hand in creating. And it seems like they really did get all the stories from everyone involved in wrestling.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Chris Smith’s doc series Mr. McMahon, direct from YouTube:

“The goal behind the Mr. McMahon doc series was to pull back the curtain and reveal the true Vince McMahon, obscured beneath the persona he presented to the world. Over the four years of production, the story evolved in truly shocking ways, culminating in some extremely harrowing allegations. The final product is a revealing documentary that we believe offers a rich and nuanced portrait of the man and the complex legacy he left behind.” –Director Chris Smith
