Wimbeldon 2024: Alex de Minaur out of Novak Djokovic quarter-final through injury

Australia’s Alex de Minaur has pulled out of his Wimbledon quarter-final against Novak Djokovic because of a hip injury.

The ninth seed was scheduled to take on 24-time Grand Slam champion Djokovic in Wednesday’s second match on Centre Court.

“Obviously not an announcement I wanted to make by any means,” De Minaur said in a news conference.

“I am devastated to pull out due to a hip injury.”
