Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster Return Teased In New ‘Thunderbolts’ BTS Photo

Taskmaster is officially making their return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Olga Kurylenko recently gave fans a new Thunderbolts tease in a behind-the-scenes photo.

Fans were confused when it was first announced that Taskmaster would return in Thunderbolts. The character was one of the worst-received villains in the MCU’s recent memory. Even more odd is that, after the initial concept art, there’s been seemingly no details about the character’s role in the film. However, the clouds seem to be parting on the villain, with Olga Kurylenko teasing her return to set.

Of course, this doesn’t reveal much about the role Olga Kurylenko will play in Thunderbolts. However, it does at least confirm that the MCU didn’t forget about her return. Given the turmoil and delays of the film, with everyone from Steven Yeun to Ayo Edebiri dropping out, nothing feels certain about the project. So even if fans don’t like it, it’s a relief to see Taskmaster still taking the team to task!

The Thunderbolts Cast Keeps Growing

For as many people as Thunderbolts seems to lose, the film seemingly keeps adding to the roster of the MCU. Recent rumors suggest that Olga Kurylenko’s Taskmaster will be joined by another Black Widow alum in Rachel Weisz. Laurence Fishbourne is also said to make his return as Bill Foster in the project, following his voice cameo in What If…? season 2.

Despite losing Ayo Edebiri, the cast gained Geraldine Viswanathan to play the assistant of Julia Louis Dreyfus’ Val, who will also be making their return in Thunderbolts. The film truly seems to be a “Who’s Who” of the MCU’s best and worst.

Thunderbolts is currently set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
