Dr. Runoko Rashidi (1954 – August 2, 2021, Kemet/Egypt) – 67 years young – author or editor of more than 20 books, including The African Presence in Early Asia (1985, 1988, 1995), with Ivan Van Sertima, Introduction to the Study of African Classical Civilizations (1993), Black Star: The African Presence in Early Europe (2012), African Star over Asia: The Black Presence in the East (2013), My Global Journeys in Search of the African Presence, Assata-Garvey and Me: A Global African Journey for Children (2017), The Black Image in Antiquity (2019), and the editor of Unchained African Voices (a collection of poetry and prose by Death Row inmates). Dr. Rashidi lectured at approximately 100 universities and has delivered major lectures in 10 countries.
