THE AFRICAN RENAISSANCE

Africa’s leadership is a work in progress. Recent developments in Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, etc. project a glimmer of hope in West Africa that freedom, security, and progress are possible on our own terms. The coup leaders have shown patriotism, but it is still early days before we find out whether these leaders are genuine or products of the CIA, KGB, MI5, etc. This programme engages two patriotic African citizens based in the UK and USA to discuss Africa’s leadership challenges in the wake of military coups and the unhindered democratic transition in Senegal.
