“He really does exist…” “He always knows where to find you…” Lionsgate has unveiled the official trailer for a horror movie called Bagman, set to hit theaters nationwide this fall. From the same filmmaker behind the films Outcast and The Girl with All the Gifts, plus the “Black Museum” episode of “Black Mirror”. When a sinister threat from his childhood returns to haunt him, a father desperately struggles against his deepest inner fear. Only this time, the fight isn’t for himself; it’s for his family. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned children of the legendary “Bagman”, who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag—never to be seen again. When the Bagman comes for his family this time, will he be able to get rid of him? From director Colm McCarthy, this horror movie stars Sam Claflin and Antonia Thomas, with William Hope, Steven Cree, Frankie Corio, Adelle Leonce, and Henry Pettigrew. Looks seriously creepy, especially with the Bagman being so brazen in his appearances with that nasty grin.

Here’s the first official trailer (+ poster) for Colm McCarthy’s Bagman, direct from YouTube:

In the dark horror film Bagman, a family finds themselves ensnared in a nightmare as they are hunted by a malevolent, mythical creature. For centuries and across cultures, parents have warned their children of the legendary Bagman, who snatches innocent children and stuffs them into his vile, rotting bag—never to be seen again. Patrick McKee (Sam Claflin) narrowly escaped such an encounter as a boy, which left him with lasting scars throughout adulthood. Now, Patrick’s childhood tormentor has returned, threatening the safety of his wife Karina (Antonia Thomas) and son Jake (Caréll Vincent Rhoden). Bagman is directed by Scottish genre filmmaker Colm McCarthy, director of the films Outcast and The Girl with All the Gifts previously, and eps of series “Black Mirror”, “Krypton”, “Curfew”, “The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself” recently. The screenplay is written by John Hulme. Produced by Marty Bowen and John Fischer. Lionsgate debuts McCarthy’s Bagman movie in theaters nationwide starting September 20th, 2024 this fall. Scary?
