Netflix has revealed the first teaser trailer for Squid Game 2, the second season of the hit Korean thriller series Squid Game from 2021. It’s a direct continuation following 456 again. Three years after winning, Player 456 gives up going to America and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of ₩45.6 billion. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk returns to write & direct. Actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, & Gong Yoo reprise their roles from Season 1 – joined by an impeccable list of new cast members including Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, & Won Ji-an. From this teaser footage, it looks like a meta commentary on how he returns hoping to save people – but no one cares.
