Bermuda Journalist Grae Minor invited to United Nations SIDS conference – TNN


Bermuda Journalist Grae Minor’s has been invited to attend the United Nations small island development states conference in Antigua and Barbuda where issues dealing with climate change, economy, social justice will be discussed.

Taking part will be representatives from Asia, the South Pacific and the Caribbean. Regions which have all in some way been impacted by these issues.

Mr. Minors is among a group of regional journalists who have focused on these topics over the last few years and was selected after submitting an application to cover the event.

He has been granted a full fellowship by the UN as part of the organisation’s Voice of the Future Campaign.

Mr Minors told TNN News: “I am honoured to have been selected to participate in this event as it allows me the opportunity to represent Bermuda as we make a contribution to finding solutions to these issues which are global in nature.

He added: “My hope is to gather as much information as I can to bring back and share with the people of Bermuda.”

The SIDS conference started last Saturday and will be held over a period of one week.
