Attempted jailbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo turns deadly

Several people have reportedly been killed during an attempted jailbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo. Gunshots rang out overnight at Makala prison in Kinshasa. It’s the country’s largest incarceration facility – and has long been dangerously overcrowded.
